I was delighted when I discovered that my two sweaters had taken 2nd and 3rd place at our county fair.

Ironically, they were the 2nd and 3rd sweaters [in that order] I had ever knit. My first one went to my daughter before I took a photo.

The picture here of the first one doesn't do it justice. The sleeves look so short in the photo, but they really are long enough. -Grin- It's just that this particular sweater is very long. That 'looooong' look was in style at the time I knit it.

This was my 3rd and last sweater I ever knit. I got hooked on caps, then socks, and realized that I much prefer small projects to big ones.

Caps and socks are instant gratification. Well....almost. I'm a slow knitter, but they do go a lot faster than sweaters.
