
NOTE: Don't let the narrow tubular appearance
of the sock put you off. These socks are adorable on your
feet. And the stretchy effect of the ribbing stitches all
the way down the sock makes them fit like a glove. They don't
slip down, so you won't even notice they don't have a heel.
And...they're Ooooh so comfy!!

One set of 5 Size 1 dpns [or size needed to achieve gauge]
One Yarn needle - 8 white star buttons for embellishments
SIZE: Pattern is written for Small Adult. To make a smaller or
larger sock, amount of sts must be divisible by 5
TWISTED CABLE RIB: ( 2-stitch repeat )
Rnds 1-2: P2, *k2, p2; rep from * around
Rnd 3: P2, *k2tog but do not slip off needle;
insert right-hand needle between these 2 sts
and knit 1st st again, slipping both sts off needle tog, p2; rep from * around
Rnd 4: Repeat 2nd rnd.
Rnds 1-5: *K3, p2; rep from * around
Rnds 6-10: P1, *k3, p2; rep from * around
Rnds 11-15: P2, *k3, p2: rep from * around
Rnds 16-20: K1, p2, *k3, p2; rep from * around
Rnds 21-25: K2, p2, *k3, p2; rep from * around
With Color A, cast on 60 stitches. Join being
careful not to twist yarn. Divide stitches evenly
over 4 needles and Knit all stitches for 6 rounds.
NEXT RND: Work the Twisted Rib pattern for
2-1/4" [or desired length] End on Rnd 4.
NEXT RND: Knit all stitches around
NEXT RND: Purl all stitches around
NEXT RND: Knit all stitches around, cut Color A
Join Color B, and knit the 25 rnds in the SPIRAL
pattern a total of 4 times [or desired length]. End
when sock is 2" less than desired lenth. Cut
Color B.
Join Color A and knit one round decreasing 4 sts
evenly spaced around. [56]
NEXT Rnd: *K6, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for next 3 rounds.
NEXT Rnd: *K5, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for next 3 rounds.
NEXT Rnd: *K4, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for next 2 rounds.
NEXT Rnd: *K3, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for next 2 rounds.
NEXT Rnd: *K2, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for 1 round.
NEXT Rnd: *K1, k2tog; rep from * around.
Knit all stitches around for 1 round.
NEXT Rnd: *K2tog; rep from * around.
Cut yarn leaving 10" tail. Thread into yarn needle and
sew through remaining stitches on needles. Close
pulling tightly. Weave in all ends.
Attach white star buttons randomly around
blue cuff area for U.S. Flag affect. Make second sock.
