CROCHET LADYBUG COASTERS

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight yarn, Colors Red and Black.
Crochet Hook Size H (or size needed to achieve desired coaster size. Tapestry needle.

COASTER SIZE: Approx. 3 ½ inches round.

PATTERN:
With Black yarn, chain 15. Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in all chains across. Leaving approx. 3" tails for the antennas, tie a knot and cut yarn.

In first chain from antenna, with antenna facing your right hand, add Red yarn and sc chain across one side of the 2-rows of black yarn, continue around and sc in all chains on opposite side. Ch1, Turn.

Sc in all chains around back to first Red sc. Ch1, Turn.

BEGIN DECREASE:
*Skip 1st sc, sc in nxt sc and all sc around to last two scs, 1 sc in last two scs, ch1, Turn.*

Repeat from * until ladybug is desired size. Tie off.

SPOTS:
With black yarn, thread Tapestry needle, and sew spots randomly spaced on ladybug as pictured, or as desired.
