1 skein of favorite Opal yarn [or sock yarn of choice]
-----I used OPAL MASTERPIECE #3704
Set of 5 - Size 5 dpns. Size "J" Crochet hook
1 package of pre-strung decorative beads on ribbon
-----in colors matching yarn. I used "Style-a-bility" beads
-----found in the Wal-Mart Craft section
Marker - Tapestry Needle - Large straight pins
----ROUNDS 1 - 5: Knit 5, Purl 5 around
----ROUNDS 6 - 10: Purl 5, Knit 5 around
BEGIN BAG: (NOTE: Bag is worked with 2 strands of yarn held together throughout)
Divide skein of yarn into two balls trying to match design as much as possible. Working
with 2 strands, Cast on 50 stitches, distribute stitches evenly over 4 needles; join to form
ring being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker to mark beginning of rounds.
Cut required length of beads to fit inside bottom of bag. With straight pins,
attach ribbon of beads just inside bottom of bag and pin closed leaving beads showing
only. Sew bottom of bag together either by hand or machine.
(I used a loose stitch and sewed mine closed on my sewing machine.
With 4 strands of yarn held together and using Crochet Hook, crochet a 36 inch chain (or desired length)
With Tapestry needle, attach ends of chain to inside of top of bag at each side.
Weave in all loose ends.
