"Key To My Heart"
MATERIALS USED:Small amounts of Opal Uni-Solid Red #10 Small amounts of Opal Prisma#1191 Set of 5 Size 5 needles or Circular ndl Size 5 - 12" length 14 Silver beads One Large Silver heart charm or bead One Small Heart Charm or bead Silver Key or key charm Crochet Hook Size F (or size to fit thru bead) Crochet Hook Size J (for strap) NOTE: 3 strands of yarn held together throughout:
(2 strands Solid Red, 1 strand Prisma)GAUGE: 4 stitches = 1 inch
SKILL LEVEL: Easy - some crochet knowledge helpful
FINISHED SIZE: Approx. 4" wide x 5" long (strap not included)
FINISHED WEIGHT: Bag (incl strap & beads) = 1.4 oz
(I mention this to show how little yarn is actually used)
BEGIN CHECKERBOARD PATTERN: (my fav stitch pattern for bags)
ROUNDS 1 - 4 Knit 4, Purl 4 around
ROUNDS 5 - 8: Purl 4, Knit 4 around
Repeat these 8 rounds 3x's. Work one more of Rounds 1 - 4
Divide stitches evenly onto two needles (20 sts per needle)

Every effort was made to insure accuracy of these instructions. If, however, an

Holding both needles together, and binding off stitches together
from both needles, bind off first 2 sts. With small
crochet hook,
Continue binding off across bottom of bag,
adding a bead every 2nd stitch until all stitches are bound off.
With large crochet hook and holding same 3 strands of yarn together,
crochet a chain desired length of strap adding 3 beads on each end of strap.
I spaced my beads approx. 1-1/2" apart.
Attach the strap to inside top of bag on both sides.
SPECIAL NOTE: [OPTIONAL] I made my strap in two pieces and
tied them together at the middle top of strap,
leaving enough yarn for a tassle.
Add large heart, small heart and key to top center of bag (as pictured)
Weave in all ends.
