BEGIN CAP:
With circ ndls and both colors (A) and (B) Cast on 92 stitches.
Work in Pattern Stitch for 6 inches [or desired length] End after RND 1
or RND 3
BEGIN DECREASE FOR TOP OF CAP:
NEXT RND: Knit all sts, decreasing 2 sts evenly spaced around (90 sts)
NEXT RND: Purl all stitches around
DECREASE RND: Knit all sts, decreasing 10 sts evenly spaced around (80 sts)
Place a marker at each dec to mark future decrease rounds.
NEXT 3 RNDS: KNIT all sts in all rounds from now to finish of cap.
Switch to dpns when necessary and work a DECREASE RND every 4th round
until 10 stitches remain.
FINISH:
Cut yarns leaving a 10 inch tail. Thread yarn through tapestry needle, then
thread through remaining 20 stitches; pull thread tightly and tie off. Weave
in loose ends.
ADD FUR TRIM AROUND BRIM:
Here's how I did mine: I threaded the fun fur into a tapestry needle, rolled
the brim of the cap up about an inch and loosely stitched the fun fur around
the cap just above the edge of the rolled up brim. Thus creating the illusion
that the fur is attached to the edge of the brim.
ADD FUR TRIM TO TOP:
I wound a 12 inch strip of fun fur several times around my fingers, then tied
it tightly in the center with another strip of fun fur. I then sewed the ball
of fun fur to the top of the cap. Then wove in all loose ends.
OPTIONAL:
Add a snappy little button or pen to give your cap that extra pizazz!!
